Faith Precedes Miracles
Hola mi bonita familia!
This week Wade has been progressing wonderfully! He is on his way to baptism on the second of August. He got an answer to his prayers about if he should marry Sally or not and they are getting married!! All they have to do is wait for her ring to come in...Sal already bought one for Wade 2 years ago haha. :) Wade's daughter Hope also wants to be baptized in the church and has been loving the young women and everyone in the church. Its such a blessing. God has some big plans in store for Wade in the future and his family and so Satan is working hard against him but he is staying strong. We are so excited to see this family come unto Christ!!!
We also taught a man named Yile this week who is from Ethiopia. It's so cool to be able to teach such a wide range of people! Me and Hna.Jones met him a while back in the gas station and we were finally able to teach him! He is a 7th day Adventist and has a lot of faith. He listened so intently to our message and had all the right questions. I am excited to continue teaching him, he is so sincere and I think he is prepared!
Our district, which is awesome, was focusing on having real faith this week. We decided to have faith everyone we talked to was prepared because really God called us here with us a purpose and is preparing people. Even if they are life long Catholics or Lutheran pastors! It was amazing to see the miracles that followed that faith. We were able to get 10 new investigators...that's a lot...and teach almost everyone we talked with! It was such a blessing and its amazing to see what real whole hearted faith can do!!
One last miracle was when we met a young couple Mitch and Cierra. They are in a very humble circumstance right now with little to nothing. We had to go talk to the people at the Food Shelf (a place where we serve) and they were closed but we found them there! They were very open and receptive to our message and definitely need it in their lives. It is cool to see the Lord place people in our path if we are just willing to follow his will!
I know that God is our loving Father in Heaven. I know that we are his children and he has a perfect love for each of us. I know because of this love he sent his only begotten son, our Savior Jesus Christ to gain victory over death and satisfy the demands of justice. I know Jesus Christ is our risen Lord, Savior and Redeemer. He stands on the right hand of God becoming our advocate with the Father. Through his grace, love and mercy we can be forgiven of our sins and live eternally with our families in a state of never ending happiness. His is the way the truth and the light. He is the only way to true and lasting happiness. I have felt the enabling and healing power of the atonement. He can and will give us the strength to over come any obstacle or hurtle we encounter through his infinite atoning sacrifice. I know that God the eternal Father and his son Jesus Christ appeared to the boy Joseph Smith. Through him the perfect church of Jesus Christ was re-established once more to earth, the truth never to be lost again. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and revelator of God in these latter days. The priesthood keys were restored once again to preform saving ordinances and bless us everyday. I know we have a living prophet Thomas S. Monson who leads and guides the church with Christ at the head. I know he and the apostles are sustained by God. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God. It will bring us closer to our Lord and Savior than any other written script. The Book of Mormon is true and through it we can be guided to happiness and eternal life. I know it is essential in our everyday lives. I know God has a divine plan for each and everyone of us and Family is central to that plan. I know we can live with our Father in Heaven again if we follow his son in this earthy life. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the kingdom of God here on the earth. Jesus is the Christ, God is our Father, I testify they live. I am eternally grateful for the matchless love and light they bring to my life.
I love you all so much and hope you have a wonderful week! Remember what is important is the Gospel of Jesus Christ!!

Milagros Milagros Milagros
Hola Familia!!!!!
Como Estan?
Wade is the biggest miracle I have ever witnessed!!!!!!!!!!!! Let me tell you a little more about Wade. So last week I told you how he had an amazing experience at church...well that just continued into more awesomeness this week. We went out to dinner at a members restaurant (token, I will send a pic of the giant rack of ribs I got) and had a great discussion. The member we were with has had a very similar past like Wade and was perfect for him. That morning we weren't sure what we should talk about because plan of salvation is the next thing we were supposed to teach but he has problems with both the word of wisdom and law of chastity. We had prayed and prayed but couldn't feel right about anything so we made a little plan and went in prepared for all 3. Wade started to tell us about the changes he was making in his life. He used to grow marijuana and sell it and use it...well he told us he had cut it all down, gotten rid of it and wasn't going to have anymore. HOLY SMOKES!!! We hadn't even taught him the word of wisdom! The spirit had worked so hard in him he knew he needed to stop. That is a huge change let me just tell you. That was a source of income for him and something he has done since he was young!! So we got an answer to our prayers to teach him the word of wisdom. He committed to live it and told us how he is 100% willing to follow Gods will. He has felt to so much peace and happiness already he knows he wants it forever and it only comes through following God. So awesome. Then we spent most of the 4th with him as well with some other Elders and members. He is so kind and I have literally seen a change in him from the first night we met him. Right now he is figuring out to do with Sal, the mother of his 3 children and his girl friend. He is going to live the law of chastity he just doesn't know if he wants to marry her. We are praying for him to find the solution. As of right now he is preparing to be baptized and the 2cnd of August. I am just so happy for him that he now has this truth. Its the coolest thing to see someone change so much in just 2 weeks and be fully devoted to Savior!!

The bugs here in Minn. are crazy. They are driving me crazy!!!! Haha imagine being on Utah lake in the worst swarm but then timing that by ten and always being in it. That's what its like over here right now haha. With all the rain we have had I guess they are at a record high. Me and my companion combined probably take in about 100 bugs each day either through our nose, mouth or in our ears hahah just to give you a glimpse. However!!! I don't mind because being a missionary is the best ever and we are being so blessed :)
This week on the 4th we got to have p-day and work in the night. And it was such a crazy day!! We were making treats to bring to Wades to have a discussion and games and we had no time! We were running late and we had brownies in the oven, it was time to go and they had 11 minutes left. So I decided to take them out. Well when I took them out they were still liquid and half of the plan spilled out into the oven hahahahaha it was a mess! We had to turn the oven off and run out the door. All we could do was laugh and say we tried our best. The mission is full of all sorts of adventures and laughing at yourself.
We are being so blessed out here in St. Peter. Our investigators are doing great, we are finding a lot and I can see the Lords hand everyday.
Thank you for your continued support. I love you all, make it a great week!
Don't forget to remember our Savior Jesus Christ who suffered for us so that we could be free from sin and death! He is the reason for everything.
